Arti Singh’s powerful video on Mental Health post her breakdown on National Television in the Bigg Boss house has got her massive support from industry and fans alike. From comments to repost to personal messages, the actress has had people stand by her during this difficult time.
One such person who’s spoken out in support of Arti Singh and the state of Mental Health awareness in the country is actress and friend Bipasha Basu. She commented on Arti’s post saying, “It’s sad that in our country so many educated people have a lack of awareness on mental health. You can’t stop living your life… if you have some issues… you need to be brave and face them… that is exactly what @artisingh5 is doing. Anyone in the house or outside who are making a joke or mockery out of this are insensitive. In today’s day and age, this topic cannot be a taboo. Support is what people need, to overcome this… and yes finally it’s one’s own battle. Please, we should be human and kind to all #mentalhealthmatters #bekind”
We couldn’t have agreed more with Bipasha Basu. Mental Health should be spoken about and not trolled! Celebrity or not, on-screen, or at a public place or at the comfort of your home, mental health doesn’t discriminate. While we can be fine with seeing rage, taunt, anger, physical violence and more on a show we should be fine with seeing someone break down and having an attack. It is part of human nature.
